Welcome students in Dr. Albert's POLS 2101 class, Introduction to Political Science!

Image 1: Karl Marx, who is one of the founders of Communist thought.

This blog is class specific.   If you are not in the 2101 class, please do not request to be a member of this page.  Students, this blog is where you can ask and answer questions from the readings, ask me questions for further clarification, and most importantly, post reflections from our classes, field trips, and your own personal free time during which you may find something that relates to this class. This is a professional forum, and should only be used in this context.  This blog spot will be our main source of communication throughout the lead up to the trip, and during the trip as well.  More to come soon!

  1. I just finished the book what a fascinating read.I cant wait to start on Lenin. I learned so much mostly in the conservative and Liberal sections. Today's conservatives are Classical Liberals and conservatism is dead. I guess they chose to be called conservatives because of the name not so much because of the ideology.

  2. I think that's interesting considering the Russian steriotype of them not voicing their oppinion. I'm excited that some of the younger generations are starting to at least recognize that they can have their own individual beliefs.

    1. I agree to, a lot of Russians seem to voice their opinion freely. Also a lot of them talk about how "free" we are in the states.

  3. I enjoyed the Communist Party meeting I feel like I learned a lot. I feel like Lenin revolutionary spirit died with him, these guys where much more pragmatic. I can't get over the how the other presenter was always looking at the watch made me feel unwelcome. They seem to be mostly old men and young adults who take part, do they actually have a chance of succeeding if Russia was a actual democracy?
